Merle Gilley is the Founder and President of TriQuest Equity Management, a financial planning firm headquartered in Chesapeake, Virginia. He is a leading financial advisor who has spent more than 11 years helping families grow and protect their wealth through cutting-edge financial strategies.

The Early Years
Merle has always been defined by his trustworthiness, common sense and sincerity. As a teenager he built custom homes in Virginia, and then served a 4-year tour in the U.S. Air Force where he excelled as an Aircraft Maintenance Specialist and Crew Chief on B-52 Bombers.

After leaving the Air Force in 1984, Merle founded and operated a successful advertising firm. At the 15-year point, he sold the advertising firm in order to pursue his long-time dream of providing financial services to the wealthy and those on their way to becoming wealthy.

Making A Difference
In 1999, Merle bought a commercial building in the Greenbrier section of Chesapeake, Virginia, and established TriQuest Equity Management, which focuses on growing and protecting wealth for families.

He quickly built a loyal clientele of individuals and families in Virginia and througout the United States.   This success allowed Merle to grow his financial services company into a nationwide operation that now consists of more than 900 financial advisors. He consistently trains his team through comprehensive, national-level educational seminars in order to keep them up to date on cutting-edge financial strategies.

Merle is a native of Virginia Beach and recently celebrated his 26th Wedding Anniversary with his wife Monica, who is also from Virginia Beach. They have one daughter, Mia, who is eight years old. Merle enjoys reading, traveling, golfing, and computer programming. He unleashes all those desk hours through road racing motorcycles on international raceways. One of his passions is teaching and training young riders how to enjoy the sport of motorcycling safely.
